Named after the ancient Roman god with two faces, Janus Capital Group provides investment management and advisory services for institutional and individual customers. Janus Capital Management administers more than 30 funds in all. Its flagship Janus Fund, formed in 1969, established itself as an investor in growth industries. (That fund and its sister fund, Janus Twenty, have made comebacks after experiencing heavy losses related to the Internet bust.) The INTECH fund bases its investment strategies on mathematical analysis of the stock market. Janus Capital has more than $120 billion in assets under management.
