Jacobs Group Company Description
Dubbing itself a pioneering developer of enclosed shopping malls, the Richard E. Jacobs Group (The Jacobs Group) develops, owns, and manages retail, office, and hotel properties throughout the US. It primarily focuses on the Cleveland area, however. The company owns and manages about 40 malls totaling more than 45 million sq. ft. It also built Ohio's tallest building, the 57-story Key Tower in downtown Cleveland. Among its notable hotel assets is the Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa in Key West, Florida. Chairman and CEO Richard E. Jacobs, former owner of the Cleveland Indians, founded The Jacobs Group in 1955 with his late brother David H. Jacobs.
