Overview

Isuzu Motors has been trucking along since 1916 as one of Japan's first automobile manufacturers. The company is one of the world's top commercial truck makers, with heavy-, medium-, and light-duty models. Isuzu is also a leading diesel engine manufacturer for such automakers as Adam Opel and GM; its engines are used in automotive as well as industrial and marine applications. Other vehicle products include sightseeing and private buses, passenger pickup trucks, and SUVs. Its D-MAX pickup is particularly popular in Thailand and South America. Isuzu Motors has a worldwide distributor network across almost every major continent though it has stopped selling passenger vehicles in the US.
