Isuzu Company Description
Tokyo-based Isuzu has said "Sayonara" to SUVs and "Konichiwa" to commercial trucks. These days Isuzu's only passenger car offerings are a few remaining Ascender SUVs and its line of compact pickups. Isuzu is in the process of transforming itself into one of the world's top makers of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks (N Series, F Series, and C&E Series, respectively); it also makes diesel engines and buses. Isuzu's formal exit from the SUV vehicle class came in 2006 when the last Ascender left a General Motors assembly line. Isuzu announced in early 2008 that it would exit the light vehilce market in the US by early 2009.
