Tesla Motors had lots of curb appeal on its first day of trading in Q2 on the NASDAQ (GM). The manufacturer of stylish, high-performance electric cars had an IPO offer price of $17 that climbed 41% to $23 per share by day’s end. S&W Seed Company, specializing in seeds for growing livestock feed, had an IPO offer price in Q2 of $5.50 on the NASDAQ (CM). The per-share price closed down a buck and half by day’s end, a 27% drop and the worst first day performance of the quarter.
