Investor AB is the investment vehicle for the Wallenbergs, the preeminent family in the Swedish business world. The largest industrial holding company in the Nordic region, the firm invests primarily in health care, technology, engineering, and financial services concerns. The investment firm has amassed more than 80 holdings in a mix ranging from start-ups to mature global companies. Its interests in industrial building systems manufacturer ABB, drugmaker AstraZeneca, international banking group SEB, and manufacturing and construction equipment firm Atlas Copco represent more than half of Investor's total assets. Wallenberg family interests control more than 45% of the company.
