Interoute is an autobahn for communications in Europe. The company operates one of Europe's leading fiber-optic networks, which connects about 80 cities in more than 20 countries using 47,000 km of cable. Interoute's products and services include broadband Internet access and transmission, media streaming, managed hosting, voice services and Virtual Private Network (VPN) services. The company also operates metropolitan area networks (MANs) in 20 major European business centers. Wholesale customers include BT, Telecom Italia, and VSNL; enterprise customers include EMI and Sony. Interoute is wholly owned by the Sandoz Family Foundation.
