International Shipholding Company Description

International Shipholding helps put the car in cargo. Most of the company's sales come from the chartering of vessels such as car and truck carriers, ships with strengthened hulls for use in polar regions, and coal and sulfur carriers. Overall, its fleet consists of more than 30 vessels. Charter customers have included Toyota, Hyundai Motor, Freeport-McMoRan's P.T. Freeport Indonesia unit, International Paper, and the US Navy's Military Sealift Command. International Shipholding's
subsidiaries include Central Gulf Lines, Waterman Steamship Corporation, LCI Shipholdings, CG Railway, LMS Shipmanagement, and East Gulf Shipholding. The company has offices in Mobile, Alabama; New York City; and Shanghai.
