Companies in this industry create or acquire content, including editorial and multimedia content, for distribution via the Internet. Content can include textual, audio, video content, as well as content for mobile Internet users; distribution of paid-placement (advertising) content is also included. Providers can include companies that both create and publish content on the Internet, or companies that aggregate multiple sources of content (provided by third-party providers) for access through a single website.
