Commercial Real Estate Management Industry Overview

Companies in this industry operate and manage commercial, industrial, and retail properties. Included in this industry are owners of nonresidential buildings who lease out space to others; companies who rent real estate and then sublease to others; and companies providing full-service office space, whether on a lease or service contract basis. This industry includes operators of mini-warehouses and self-storage facilities. It does not include companies engaged in commercial property investment, brokerage, or development; or real estate investment trusts (REITs).
