Overview

If IDEXX Laboratories had been on the scene, Old Yeller might have had a happier ending. A leading animal health care company, IDEXX makes diagnostic testing kits and machines and drugs for pets and livestock. Veterinarians use the company's VetTest analyzers for blood and urine chemistry and its SNAP and PetChek in-office test kits to detect heartworms, feline leukemia, and other diseases. The company also provides veterinary lab testing services and practice management software. In addition, IDEXX makes diagnostic products to detect livestock and poultry diseases (such as swine or bird flu) and to test systems for contaminants in water and antibiotics in milk. The company serves customers in 75 countries.
