IDACORP Company Description
Energy is more than small potatoes for IDACORP. The holding company's regulated utility, Idaho Power, distributes electricity to more than 487,900 customers in 71 cities in Idaho and nine in Oregon. The utility's generation assets include 17 hydroelectric plants, two gas-fired plants, one diesel generator and stakes in three coal-fired plants. Other IDACORP businesses include coal mining (Idaho Energy Resources, a joint venture partner of the Bridger Coal Company, which supplies coal to a power plant partly owned by IDACORP) and affordable housing investments (IDACORP Financial Services).
