The North American unit of the performance products segment of Israel Chemicals Limited (ICL), it produces phosphorus chemicals, phosphoric acid, and phosphate salts. The chemicals are used in foods, cleaners, water treatment, flat-panel displays, oral care products, paints and coatings, and pharmaceuticals. The company also manufactures flame retardants. ICL Performance Products operates plants in Brazil and the US (California, Kansas, Missouri, and New Jersey). It represents about a quarter of its parent's total business.
