IAC Company Description
IAC/InterActiveCorp (IAC) satisfies shop-a-holics who fantasize about taking in a show, meeting the right partner, and financing a home. The Internet conglomerate owns more than 60 interactive brands including HSN (formerly Home Shopping Network), which pipes on-air sales reps into more than 90 million US homes; US ticket seller Ticketmaster; and Match.com and LendingTree, the online dating and loan Web sites, respectively. Surrounded by billion-dollar media conglomerates, IAC once coveted a spot with the big shot entertainment companies, but it has since sold out to selling and now is pushing into the market for online content. Controlled by its CEO Barry Diller, IAC is splitting into five public companies.
