Ask.com Company Description
If you'd rather NOT use Boolean logic OR key words AND want a different way to search the Internet, just Ask. Ask.com (formerly Ask Jeeves) operates a search engine that allows users to pose questions in plain language instead of using key words. In addition to its US site, the company operates sites for six European countries, as well as a Japanese site, through its Ask-Global operations. The business generates most revenue through ads, but also syndicates its search technology and offers paid search services. Ask.com is part of IAC/InterActiveCorp (IAC), which in 2008 split into five companies. As a result, Ask.com remains part of IAC, an entity now solely devoted to Internet properties.
