Houston Wire & Cable (HWC) may have a Texas name, but it can keep customers wired from Seattle to Tampa. The company is a conduit between cable manufacturers and electrical distributors and their customers. It distributes specialty (electrical and electronic) wire and cable products, such as cable terminators, fiber-optic cables, and bare copper and building wire, as well as voice, data, and premise wire. It also provides cable management services (a custom program designed for wire and cable requirements) and an asset-management program (for the development and management of inventory). HWC operates 11 regional distribution centers in 10 states and sells primarily to electrical distributors.
