This company's cupboard of media assets is hardly bare. Hubbard Broadcasting is a leading television station operator with about a dozen stations in Minnesota, New York, and New Mexico. Its portfolio includes ABC affiliate KSTP (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and NBC affiliate WHEC (Rochester, New York). The company also has three radio stations in the Twin Cities market; its Hubbard Radio Network subsidiary produces syndicated programming for about 20 affiliate stations in the upper Midwest. In addition, Hubbard owns cable channel ReelzChannel through Hubbard Media Group, and it has a majority stake in the arts and leisure channel Ovation. Stanley E. Hubbard started the family-owned broadcasting empire in 1923.
