Overview

Now that Hormel Foods has stocked its pantry with ethnic convenience foods, can we look forward to SPAM soufflé, SPAM enchiladas, or SPAM curry? Along with its famous canned "spiced ham," SPAM, Hormel is a top US turkey processor and a major pork processor, making Jennie-O turkey products, Cure 81 hams, and Always Tender fresh pork, as well as canned Stagg chili and Dinty Moore beef stews. Hormel has branched out into convenience, ethnic, and frozen foods, offering brands such as Chi-Chi's Mexican, Patak's Indian, and House of Tsang Asian products. Hormel also has a significant foodservice operation.
