Overview
Horizon Milling is a leading producer of durum and semolina wheat flours with about 20 production facilities throughout the US and in Canada. It makes bakery flours and other specialty products primarily for food manufacturers and foodservice operators, as well as private-label flours for the retail market. In addition to customers in North America, Horizon Milling exports flour worldwide. The company was formed in 2002 as a joint venture between diversified food and agricultural products giant Cargill and gain marketer CHS (which owns about 25% of the business).
