Horizon Air Company Description

Regional carrier Horizon Air Industries brings together the earth and sky in more than 45 cities in the western US, Canada, and Mexico. A subsidiary of Alaska Air Group since 1986, Horizon does much of its flying from airports in Boise, Idaho; Portland, Oregon; Seattle; and Spokane, Washington. The carrier operates a fleet of more than 60 aircraft, including more than 40 turboprops and about 20 regional jets. Horizon provides connecting service under its own brand for sister company Alaska Airlines, and the carriers share several code-sharing partners, including American Airlines, Continental, and KLM. (Such partnerships allow airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus extend their networks.)
