Formerly known as WH Holdings (Cayman Islands), this holding company operates through Herbalife International, which manufactures and distributes weight control products including meal replacements, snacks and "enhancers." It also offers nutritional supplements, energy drinks, and skin care products. The company has international subsidiaries in more than 70 countries. Herbalife's multilevel marketing program involves some 2 million independent distributors throughout the world. However, a third of those distributors are actually individual customers registered as distributors in order to buy the products at a discounted rate.
