Smaller brewers might be green with envy. Heineken, one of the world's brewing giants, sells its namesake beer in their easily recognized green bottles in just about every country on the planet. Its other well-known brands include Amstel and Murphy's. In addition to its own brands, the company offers some 170 international, regional, and specialty beers, including Buckler (Europe), Quilmes (Argentina), Moretti (Italy), Tiger (Asia), Zagorka (Bulgaria), and Bochkaryov (Russia). The company also distributes wine and soft drinks and other nonalcoholic beverages. In 2008 Heineken and fellow brewer, Carlsberg, acquired the Irish brewer, Scottish & Newcastle (S&N), for $15.3 billion.
