Engineering and architectural group Heery International is known as much for its program management as for the schools and stadiums it designs. Architect George Heery, who helped found the firm in 1952, was an early practitioner of program management, which involves consulting and client representation for complex projects at each phase of construction. A subsidiary of UK engineering giant Balfour Beatty, Heery also offers facilities and construction management and interior design services. Government projects make up most of the firm's billings, and markets include educational, medical, correctional, and justice facilities.
