Hatteras Yachts Company Description
Hatteras Yachts, a division of Brunswick Corporation's Boat Group, manufactures a line of sportfishing convertible yachts, as well as an extensive line of motor yacht models. The company's line of sportfishing yachts range in size from 50- to 90-foot, while the motor yachts vary from 64 feet to 100 feet in length. Hatteras Yachts also offers a line of branded apparel and accessories. Hatteras Yachts founder Willis Slane built the first Hatteras sportfishing yacht in 1960 using a material new to the big sportfishing boat industry -- fiberglass. Today all of the company's boats are manufactured at its plant in North Carolina.
