Overview
To paraphrase Pete Seeger, if I had a Hammerson, I'd hammer in the morning. I'd hammer in the evening -- building a portfolio of retail and office properties, all over this land. One of the top five real estate companies in the UK (Land Securities is #1), Hammerson owns and develops shopping centers and office properties and also provides third-party property management services in the UK, France, and Germany. Hammerson managed the development of the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham, spanning some 110,000 sq. meters. Retail properties (shopping centers, retail parks, and warehouses) account for the majority of the firm's portfolio; three-quarters of its properties are located in the UK.
