Overview
GVTC Communications offers telecommunications services to residential and business customers in the Hill Country area of central Texas. The cooperative local exchange carrier provides an 11-county area covering about 2,000 square miles with traditional local and long-distance telephone services, Internet access, digital cable television, and high-speed fiber-to-home converged service packages. It has more than 32,000 customers through about 42,000 access lines. GVTC also installs and monitors residential and commercial security systems. The company, formerly known as Guadalupe Valley Telephone Cooperative, was founded in 1951.
