It also originates residential mortgages on a wholesale basis through third-party brokers. Guild Mortgage was founded in 1960 to provide mortgages to home buyers from American Housing Guild, then a leading residential developer. Oklahoma-based investment firm McCarthy Group owns an interest in Guild Mortgage.
