GRUPO MODELO wears the corona as Mexico's King of Beers. The brewer dominates the Mexican beer market, commanding a 63% market share. Internationally, the US is MODELO's largest export market. At its seven Mexican breweries, the brewer makes Corona and Corona Light, along with other brands including Estrella, Leon Negra, Modelo Especial, Montejo, Pacifico, Negra Modelo, and Victoria. MODELO, which has grown by acquiring regional brewers, exports its beers to more than 150 countries. The company is 50% owned by Anheuser-Busch (A-B) and is the exclusive Mexican importer and distributor of A-B's beers, including Budweiser and Bud Light.
