Besides its own brands, Grundig (formerly Beko Elektronik) provides original equipment manufacturing, as well as design and research and development services, for other consumer electronics companies. In addition to televisions, Grundig annually makes more than 110,000 cash registers and more than 61,000 personal computers. The company extended its reach in the consumer electronics sector by acquiring German TV and audio company Grundig in 2004. Koç Holding and its pension fund own more than 40% of the company. Koç affiliate Arçelik owns more than 22%.
