Graphisoft caters to those whose big ideas are quite literally built from the inside out. The company develops 3-D computer-aided design software for architects, engineers, and contractors. The company was founded in 1982 and released its ArchiCAD package for Apple computers in 1984; a Windows version followed in 1993. Graphisoft went public on the Frankfurt stock exchange in 1998. The Hungarian company has offices in Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK, and the US, in addition to its homeland. Chairman and co-founder Gábor Bojár owns about one-quarter of Graphisoft.
