Grant Thornton International is a kid brother to the Big Four. The umbrella organization of accounting and management consulting firms operates from more than 500 offices in more than 110 countries, making it one of the top second-tier companies that trail behind the biggest of the big guys (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young Global, KPMG International, and PricewaterhouseCoopers). More than 60% of its member firms' clients are private companies. The company offers assurance, tax, business risk, corporate advisory, and other services to public and private companies. By virtue of the consolidation in the industry, Grant Thornton is the longest-lived, same-name network in the world.
