Gorenje: sounds like the name of a giant, and, indeed, a giant it is. The company is best known for the large household appliances and interior furnishings it makes and markets under the Gorenje brand name (which accounts for about 75% of sales). The company also alters its brands to fit local languages in the some 60 countries, where it sells its products. Gorenje Group is one of Slovenia's largest industrial companies, as well as one of the largest domestic appliance manufacturers in Europe. The company was founded in 1949 and today trades on the Ljubljiana Stock Exchange.
