Overview

This company casts a net of satellite services far and wide. GlobeCast, a subsidiary of France Telecom, operates one of the largest global satellite communications networks from about 20 offices and 10 teleports (tranmission and reception facilities) in 14 countries. Customers in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australia can choose from a menu of services that includes direct-to-home television and radio programming, television for mobile devices and PC's, sports and event coverage programming, Internet access, and business voice and data networking services. The terrestrial fiber portion of GlobeCast's network links Europe with North America and several cities in the Asia Pacific region.
