Georgia Military College Company Description
Georgia Military College is a junior college, established by the state legislature in 1879, with seven campuses and extension centers around the Peach State. The college offers associate degrees in liberal arts, science, and applied science to students who plan on transferring to four-year universities. It also operates a combined high school and middle school at its main campus in Milledgeville. Despite the college name, most students are commuters; only about 5% of the student body studies in residence and participates in cadet activities. Members of this group are enrolled in a two-year military science program that culminates with a select few being commissioned as officers in the U.S. Army.
