Genesis Lease Company Description
Genesis Lease needs airplanes like Phil Collins needs drumsticks. Genesis Lease, formed in late 2006, has used funds from its public offering to finalize the purchase of about 40 aircraft from affiliates of the world's largest leaser of airplanes GE Commercial Aviation Services. GE will continue to maintain and market the planes while Genesis Lease will concentrate on expanding its fleet. The commercial aircraft are in operation with airlines worldwide including American Airlines, Air Europa, and El Al. Bermuda-based trust and company administration services provider Codan Trust controls Genesis Lease. GE owns a minority stake in the company.
