Overview

GenCorp hopes to see its profits rise like a rocket's trajectory. The company's main subsidiary, Aerojet-General, manufactures propulsion systems for US defense and space applications. Its propulsion products are used in missiles, maneuvering systems, launch vehicles, spacecraft, and satellites. Major customers include the US Department of Defense, NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon. Aerojet is the only domestic supplier of all four propulsion types: solid, liquid, air-breathing, and electric. GenCorp's other business segment focuses on real estate, primarily the sale and leasing of excess land it owns in California.
