Overview
General Electric Capital (GE Capital) encompasses the financing operations of sprawling conglomerate General Electric. Focusing on middle-market companies, GE Commercial Finance provides mortgages and loans, as well as loans and leases for premises and equipment. GE Commercial Aviation Services owns the largest fleet of planes for leasing in the world (some 1,500 aircraft). GE Capital's retail finance division (formerly GE Consumer Finance, more commonly known as GE Money) provides private-label credit card and sales financing.
