Gatorade Company Description
There's a reason why the product's name is Gatorade. The beverage was invented during the 1960s by University of Florida doctors in order to hydrate the university's football team (The Gators). Officially called Gatorade Thirst Quencher, the lemon-lime-flavored rehydrating drink has grown to become the leading sports drink in the US. Knowing that one product wouldn't keep it in business forever, the company has continued to create new beverages, including its vitamin-enhanced Propel Fitness Water; its Thirst Quencher series with names like Rain, Frost, and Fierce; and its Performance series, sold under the brand name Endurance.
