At Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica, they don't call the wind Maria -- "Money" is more like it. The company is one of the top manufacturers of wind turbines in the world. It also operates wind farms. Gamesa has installed about 16,000 MW of wind turbines in 20 countries around the globe. The company has divested its solar power product line, but remains a leading vendor in renewable energy technology. It touts a concept it calls "Energyculture" in promoting sustainable energy sources. Gamesa gets more about 60% of its sales in Europe, while sales in the US (around 25%) are growing rapidly. The company is targeting growth in China, Europe, and the US in particular.
