Fuel Tech Company Description
Thanks in part to the Clean Air Act, Fuel Tech is batting in the clean-up position. The company sells its NOxOUT brand of products, equipped with a retrofittable system, for the reduction of nitrogen oxide in boilers, incinerators, furnaces, and other combustion sources. Fuel Tech's NOx reduction technologies are installed worldwide on more than 450 combustion units, including utility, industrial and municipal solid waste applications. The air pollution control company also makes FUEL CHEM to reduce slag formation and corrosion in boilers and furnaces. Chairman Ralph Bailey and son Douglas Bailey, a director, together own almost 25% of Fuel Tech.
