Fred. Olsen Energy has its hold on drilling in the North Sea. Through its subsidiaries, the company provides offshore oil and gas drilling services. Through its Dolphin Drilling subsidiary, Fred. Olsen operates a fleet of nine semi-submersible rigs and one deepwater drillship used to support offshore drilling activities. Fred. Olsen also provides shipbuilding services through its Harland and Wolff subsidiary. It has sold its floating production segment and parts of its offshore drilling and engineering and fabrication segments. Customers of the group have included Exxon Mobil, Kerr-McGee, Statoil, and Vaalco. Both Bonheur and Ganger Rolf hold about 27% of the company.
