Overview

Fraport helps keep traffic of all sorts flowing at Frankfurt International Airport, one of Europe's busiest. Besides overseeing air traffic control and terminal operations, including security, the company provides ground handling services, such as baggage and cargo loading and unloading and passenger check-in. In addition, Fraport oversees airport-related retail operations and commercial real estate. Operations at the Frankfurt airport account for most of the company's sales, but Fraport also offers ground handling and other airport management services at facilities elsewhere in Europe and around the world. The city of Frankfurt, the state of Hesse, and the German government collectively control Fraport.
