Overview
Cargo goes forth from Forth Ports. The company operates commercial ports, primarily on Scotland's Forth Estuary, including facilities at Burntisland, Grangemouth, Leith, Methil, and Rosyth. Forth Ports also operates the port of Dundee on the Tay Estuary, as well as Tilbury on the Thames. It oversees two oil and gas marine terminals and provides other marine services, including towage. Britain's only listed ports company, Forth Ports is also engaged in leasing and developing port-related real estate near the Forth and Tay Estuaries. In Edinburgh Forth Ports operates the Ocean Terminal shopping center. The company was acquired by Otter Ports Ltd. in mid-2011.
