Operating as a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Koç Holding, Ford Otomotiv Sanayi, or Ford Otosan, manufactures commercial vehicles and imports passenger cars. Ford Otosan operates a plant in Kocaele -- where more than 230,000 Transit Connect commercial vehicles and Transit minibuses, pick-ups, and vans are manufactured -- and another in Eskisehir, as well as a spare-parts distribution warehouse in Istanbul Kartal. Annually selling more than 120,000 vehicles in Turkey, Ford Otosan was founded in 1959.
