Fort Dearborn Company Description
Fort Dearborn's forté is in packaging labels. Named for the outpost that predated Chicago, Fort Dearborn is one of the country's largest producers of labels for consumer goods packaging. It offers such products as flexible packaging, paper labels, and label substrates and services including graphic design, digital imaging, and computer-to-plate printing. The company, which has six production facilities in the US, has served customers such as ConAgra (Peter Pan and Hunt's brands), Campbell Soup, and Tri Valley Growers (Libby and Redpack Tomatoes). Investment firm Genstar Capital acquired Fort Dearborn from the founding Adler family in 2006. The company was established in 1925.
