Overview
As one might expect, Ford Division makes Ford Motor's line of Ford-branded cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs. Models include the Mustang, F-150 pickup, Focus, Fusion, Ranger trucks, Explorer, and the Escape Hybrid. Ford entered the crossover market -- vehicles that are half passenger car and half SUV -- with the introduction of the Freestyle and the Edge models. The Ford Division also offers a line of commercial trucks, including the F-Series 250 through 750 trucks, the LCF (low cab forward) truck, and E-Series vans. While enjoying success outside North America, the Ford Division is affected by the severe downturn in the North American automotive industry.
