Force Protection Company Description
Force Protection's vehicles protect military forces from blast forces. The company makes armored land vehicles designed to protect troops from landmines, bombs, and hostile fire. Force Protection's products include the 22-ton Buffalo, which is designed for mine-clearing operations, and the Cougar, a lighter-weight vehicle with similar armoring that can be used for route clearance support, urban patrol, and other activities. The Cheetah is the smallest of the company's offerings. It is used for reconnaissance and other urban operations. While the US Marine Corps is Force Protection's largest single customer, the US Army and friendly foreign governments also purchase military vehicles from the company.
