Firecom Company Description
Firecom sparks feelings of security in its customers. The company designs, manufactures, tests, distributes, and services customizable fire safety and security systems, which it sells under the Firecom brand to residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers in the US. It has installed its products in more than 350 facilities, including such buildings as the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, the company has a 25% stake in alarm and safety products manufacturer Synergx Systems. Founded in 1963, Firecom was taken private in 2001 by an investment group led by chairman, president, and CEO Paul Mendez.
