Overview
Fiat Automóveis is one of Brazil's leading automakers and a subsidiary of Italian carmaker Fiat S.p.A. The company produces Fiat cars such as the Novo Palio, Novo Siena, Doblò, Stilo, and Strada. Fiat Automóveis is enjoying more than an 18% market share of South American sales, due in part to its success with flex-fuel versions of the low-priced Palio, Siena, and Mille Fire. Flex-fuel or dual-fuel vehicles can run on gasoline or alcohol (usually ethanol) or a combination of the two. Flex-fuel vehicles are increasingly popular in Brazil, where they account for just over half of all new car sales.
