Overview
The planes in Spain (and trains and cars too) travel mainly thanks to Ferrovial. The engineering and infrastructure management company provides development, construction, and maintenance services for airports, toll roads, railroads, and parking garages. Ferrovial owns British transportation manager Amey and a 49% stake in airports operator BAA, as well as international infrastructure operator Cintra (acquired 2009). Ferrovial Agromán, the group's main construction unit, is engaged in civil engineering, residential construction, and water treatment projects. Ferrovial is active in some 50 countries and a majority of its business come from outside Spain.
